Sheila Hirst
Sheila is an experienced consultant, facilitator and coach. She combines experience gained from management roles in marketing and sales in the financial sector with 15 years on the field of organizational and personal communication and change.
Sheila’s experience covers both the private and public sectors. Recent projects have included working with the Cabinet Office on engaging vision and values on Dupont EMEA to develop a motivational communication strategy. She has also helped ASDA deliver competitive customer service; worked with the NSPCC on improving trust and commitment through leadership; and worked with QinetiQ on engaging staff behind brand qualities and internal values.
New thinking has included research into the links between communication competence and organisation success for the IABC; and Sheila is co-author with David Clutterbuck of Talking Business (Butterworth Heinemann).
Sheila has an MA from London University and Diploma in Executive Coaching. She started her career as a teacher of English as a foreign language which inspired a lifelong interest in how people with different languages and cultures connect with each other to create successful organisations.
